Unbundled Legal Services
LIMITED Assistance Representation (LAR)
Limited Assistance Representation (LAR), or Unbundled Legal Services refers to matters in which a client hires an attorney to assist with specific elements of a matter, such as legal advice, document preparation or document review, and/or limited appearances in court. The client and the attorney must agree in writing as to which aspects of the case the attorney will handle. The client represents him/herself in all other aspects of the case.

Representation in Court
An attorney may provide limited assistance in the form of one or more court appearances.
Advice and Counsel
An attorney may provide limited assistance in the form of advice and counsel.
